Hello and a warm welcome to my delightful corner on Medium! I’m Andrés Pérez, affectionately known as “El Toro” in the Salesforce.com community. This nickname reflects my Colombian roots 🇨🇴, boundless energy, and love for teaching, which I pour into every educational endeavor, including numerous articles.
Embracing the title of a self-proclaimed geek, my heart lies in the joy of learning and sharing knowledge about Salesforce technologies. With over 15 years of experience in this journey, I started working for Salesforce in 2009 as a Developer Support agent, right when Visualforce and Apex were making their debut. I began documenting my insights in a humble Word document shared on a network drive among colleagues.
In October 2011, I decided it would be more fun to assist customers before they made their mistakes, so I transitioned to the training department within Salesforce. By 2012, I created a website (https://ELTORO.IT) to share these notes with my students. In 2016, I ventured into LinkedIn to share these insights with the world.
Throughout these 15 years, I’ve been on a delightful educational journey, sharing wisdom in large sessions at events like Dreamforce and TrailheadDX, providing in-classroom training, hosting online webinars, and crafting numerous blogs.
Sporting over 17+ Salesforce certifications, including my absolute favorite — the Salesforce instructor certification — I’ve dedicated my career to helping others navigate the expansive Salesforce landscape.
A heartfelt thank you for joining me on this thrilling adventure of insights and knowledge sharing! Please feel free to explore, engage, and share your learnings. Let’s turn this space into a hub where learning and enthusiasm dance hand in hand.
I’m genuinely thrilled to have you here on my Medium site, ready to embark on a journey of learning and discovery through my articles. May you find joy in the experience!
Cheers to our incredible adventure together! 🥂
